Weighting Explained:
The way banners are delivered to the site is pretty simple. Each new advertiser is added to a file on the site which contains a URL of a banner ad. The file is then read by the site, and randomly selects a line of the file (calling a specific banner ad) to display. It looks something like this if there were 4 other advertisers on the site at any given time. Please note we limit the banner system to a maximum of 10 unique advertisers.

If there were 5 unique advertisers (your company being one of them), you’d have about a 20% shot of being displayed on any given impression. One benefit to joining us early is that you’d get more impressions simply from the lack of other advertisers!
When we add weighting (double or triple), we simply add your URL to the file an additional time (double) or two more times (triple). In the example of double weighting, it would look like this:

Weighting adds a statistically better percentage, over time, of page impressions. In our example above, your company would get about 33% of all impression. Weighting is not relative to other advertisers weighting, but rather the entire advertising pool as a whole (ie if there were only 2 active advertisers, both double-weighting, then the ads would effectively be equally balanced.)
