Just a short drive up the coast and you’ll find an abundance of seafood houses. In fact, if you weren’t a local, you’d really be overwhelmed with choices. We’ve been to a lot of them over the years, and unfortunately most of our visits pre-date the birth of this wonderful website. That said, we walked over to Bum Rogers after hitting the beach last weekend and have plenty to share if you happen to be renting in Seaside Park, hungry after a day at Island Beach, or maybe are looking for dinner after the boardwalk in neighboring Seaside Heights.

After LaRiveria shut down, we were pretty bummed that we not only lost our highest rated restaurant in Camden, but one of our favorite lunch spots overall. After weeks of mourning and denial, we finally faced reality, found closure, and continued our search for the best places to eat in our area. Market West Grill, not a three minute walk from LaRiveria, recently opened at the former LaPerla Italian Restaurant location in downtown Camden. Promising great food and great drinks at great prices, we grabbed a table.

What can I say? The darn Television Commercials did me in. I have been watching for a few weeks the advertisement about a special; an appetizer, entree, and dessert starting at $9.99. What a deal! Of course the key word in the sentence is “starting”.

Located in the heart of the busy Deptford consumer spendaplex, Don Pablos has pretty stiff competition from the Applebees and Pizza Hut just a short skip across the street. If you’re shopping at the adjacent Target, Sam’s Club, or Best Buy, should you swing by Don Pablos for a Tex-Mex style lunch or dinner? After a reasonable hit in the wallet, we’re back from our undercover mission to tell you all about it.
